Tenses are the concept of the English Language that is used to refer to the time of the action. Users can indicate the time of action that whether it's ongoing or completed. Tenses are of three types present tense, past tense, and future tense.

As we have already mentioned above there are primarily three types of tenses:
Furthermore, these three categories of tenses are subcategorized on the basis of continuance and completeness of action:
1. Simple Tense/Indefinite Tense: It is used to represent-
Present Tense- Ongoing routine
Past Tense- Activity that is over
Future Tense- Activity to happen in future
2. Continuous Tense: The activity is fragmented, consistent, or going on.
3. Perfect Tense: The activity is finished or completed regarding a specific purpose of time.
4. Perfect Continuous Tense: The activity is going on persistently throughout a period of time and is yet to be done.
